Common questions

How are your homes priced?

Pricing is structured by the plan and lot you select. By working with one of our Home Advisors, you can determine the home and lot that are right for your needs and budget. Once you decide to purchase a new home, you will be able to personalize the home to your style and needs. These personalization options are usually an additional cost. Your Home Advisor will work with you to ensure you stay within your budget while designing your unique home.

How do I learn more about the community than what is on the website?

Reach out for more information! You can book an informational appointment or contact our Home Advisors directly from each community’s web page. If you click sign up to get information, we’ll be sure to keep you in the loop as new information becomes available.

How can I visit your model homes?

Depending on the community, sales offices and model homes are open for walk-in visits during operating hours or by appointment. Please see the community’s web page for office hours and appointment-only status. You can book an appointment at any Woodside community by clicking the “Book Appointment” button on a community web page.

What are your hours of operation?

Generally, model homes have both weekday and weekend hours so you may visit during a time that is convenient for you. Please see the community’s web page for office hours; you can also book an appointment at any Woodside community by clicking the “Book Appointment” button on a community web page.

Do I need pre-qualification before visiting a model home or making an offer?

Of course, you don’t need to be prequalified to visit! We advise you to get prequalified once you are serious about considering a home purchase. Doing so provides you several advantages – first, it helps you assess how much you can afford. Second, it speeds up the process of entering into a contract to purchase. You may select any lender of your choice for financing, but some of our communities might ask for a prequalification letter from one of Woodside’s preferred lenders in advance of a visit. Prequalification usually involves a series of questions about income, debt, and current homeownership status, and won’t affect your credit score.

Do I need a real estate agent?

You are welcome to work with your own real estate agent, but you do not need one to purchase a Woodside Home. Our Home Advisors are licensed Realtors and can answer any questions about the Real Estate Purchase Contract. If you do choose to work with your own real estate agent, you will need to have them registered as your agent during your first visit to the community.

Where can I find out when a community will be open?

Our website and our Home Advisors are great resources for you. If a community that interests you is listed as “Coming Soon,” you can fill out a simple form on the website to receive communications about when lots will be available for sale. You can also contact one of our Home Advisors for the latest information.

What is the typical wait time for a home build?

It typically takes several months to complete a home. Your Home Advisor can give you an estimate of the time it would take to build the home you are interested in; if you need to move more quickly, there may be a “Quick Move In” home available that could close in as little as 30 days. Visit the “Quick Move In” section of the website or talk to a Home Advisor about what’s available.

Are any homes completed sooner?

While homes built “from the ground up” can take months to complete, there may be homes close to completion that are available for sale at your favorite community. Visit the “Quick Move In” section of the website or talk to a Home Advisor about what’s available.

Where do you build?

Currently, Woodside Homes builds in selects areas of Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and California. Find out more on the home page of our website by clicking on the state where you would like to live, and explore the full list of towns and neighborhoods where we are building now.

How big are the lots?

There are several factors that determine lot size, and they vary by community. You can see the configuration of lots and lot sizes by clicking on the Site Map of each community, or talk to a Home Advisor about the range of lots available.

Is there a waiting list for homes?

In the current market, waiting lists for new homes are common. High demand, combined with constraints on labor and materials, have created a situation where there are more people ready to buy than homes (even homes to be built!) available. By providing your contact information via our website or Home Advisor, you willreceive the latest information on lot availability and pricing.

Do Woodside communities have HOA dues?

Some do, others do not. Be sure to ask a Woodside Home Advisor about your favorite community’s Home Owners Association and related costs.
